Young Woman 2024
The young women entering today have great insight and knowledge of the issues faced in rural NSW, they are involved with their communities and are confident ambassadors. They are young women with purpose and ambition and ready to face the challenges and rewards offered by the agricultural show movement and deserving of the title The Land Sydney Royal Ag Shows Young Woman 2023 and the role of custodian and ambassador.
The competition plays a significant role in the development of rural women and boats incredible support from sponsors with over $40,000 in cash and prizes, another important progression from the $200 and silver tray won by Margaret Mackay in 1962.
Entries are now open for Young Woman & Miss Maitland, please submit entry forms to office@maitlandshowground.com.au by Monday, 22 April 2024 at 2pm.

Maitland Showground
In 2004 Maitland Show went a long way to re-establishing itself as the premier regional show in New South Wales with three day attendances exceeding 55,000 people. This outcome was achieved as a result of a joint venture between the Showmen’s Guild of Australasia and the Show Association providing for a free gate, family orientated special attractions. The Maitland Showground has become the permanent home for the Showmen’s Guild inaugural Super Show held at Speers Point. Over the last five years, Maitland has entertained over 500,000 people at the annual Show. We believe, will see its future secure, building on over 150 years plus of past performance.

The new look Maitland Community Markets returned Sunday 2 May 2021 at the Maitland Showground located at Blomfield Street Louth Park and continues to grow each month. Our next market day is on Sunday, 5th May 2024 from 9am – 1pm.

As a Maitland Young Woman you have to be able to represent our Town, our Region, our Zone and Young Women in Australia.
